Pilgrim Jewellery – History
Tuesday, October 20th, 2009PILGRIM was established by Annemette Markvad and Thomas Adamsen in 1983. It was just the two of them that first year, where they travelled around to festivals in Denmark and sold the jewellery they’d bought on travels to the East. They made some of the items themselves in their small apartment in Skanderborg and they were always quick to turn a good idea into reality. They swiftly began exhibiting their wares at trade fairs in Denmark and later on family and friends became involved in the business.
After a couple of years the company moved along with Annemette and Thomas into a century old home, with PILGRIM occupying the basement. From then on things moved fast.
Values
Don’t be fooled by the fact that Pilgrim are part of the international and often glamorous fashion scene. Behind the PILGRIM brand is a group of creative and highly socially committed people. This is evident in many ways, including how they treat each other – like a second family, which currently has more than 170 members around the world.
